Narrowing

I warm up by starting with the front legs. They're a lot easier to do - I'm always nervous making the first cut.

The main problem with my jig is it's all squared up nice
and there's not one square thing about old springer's. Both legs and the shafts for the springs had to be massaged straight.

Now for the main legs.
I needed to take bout an inch out of each side
and I need to change it over to a one inch stem.

All ready to put in the jig and low and behold- the holes for the rockers are not the same. They are about a 1/4 inch off . I couldn't get things to line up so i'll have to weld the hole and throw it in the mill for new hole. End of day one.

This will be the 5th springer in this jig.

Bikes and Fashion

This is my other biz- the motor home in the back is mine. I rent it out for photo stuff (mostly high fashion).  A mobile dressing room and hair and makeup all over Los Angeles.

R.I.P Shop Truck

I've ridden tons of miles with this guy and this bike.
This ugly duckling will become a swan.
